Respirator / Mask may not fit properly with facial hair, as it forms a seal with smooth skin. Facial Size may differ from the fitting of the mask.
If your Mask/Respirator is damaged or soiled, if there is breathing difficulty- remove discard it properly and replace it with a new one.
People with chronic respiratory, cardiac or other medical conditions that make breathing difficult should check with health care provider before using the mask/respirator.
Here are some step-by-step instructions for wearing any face mask correctly, including respirators :
Clean your hands with soap and water, or hand sanitizer, before touching the mask
Hold the mask so that the stiff bendable strip is on top and the colored side facing outwards.
If the face mask has ear loops – hold the mask by the ear loops, and place a loop around each ear.
If the face mask has ties – bring the mask to your nose and place the ties over the crown of your head, and secure by tying them in a bow.
If the face mask has elastic bands – bring the mask to your nose and pull the top band over your head and let it rest on the crown of your head.
Adjust the Mask to conform to the shape of your nose.
Pull the bottom of the face mask over your mouth and chin.
Irrespective of what you buy, it is CRITICAL that you follow the proper instructions on how to wear your respirator mask.
The mask will NOT work properly if you do not wear it correctly.

- Hand sanitizer often includes additional components, such as a moisturizing element to prevent the hands from drying out, but these components are not necessary. If you are unable to wash your hands with soap and water, or if you want to ensure that your hands are completely clean, iso propyl alcohol may be used to disinfect the hands
- Pour a small amount of iso propyl alcohol into the palm of one hand.
- Rub the hands together vigorously for approximately 30 seconds, or until the hands are completely covered and the alcohol begins to evaporate.
- Note that iso propyl alcohol and hand sanitizer do not remove dirt from the hands. If your hands are visibly soiled, you may need to wash your hands with soap and water to remove the dirt from your skin
